Tricia RGN
I trained
and qualified
as a SRN at Ipswich Hospital. I have been practice nursing
since 1978 and during this time have gained an additional ENB
qualification in family planning. I have successfully
completed Marie Curie courses covering skin cancer, breast and
cervical cancer and training as a Level 2 smoking cessation adviser.
Over the years I have also attended numerous courses covering
diabetes, asthma, heart disease, COPD, wound care, travel health
etc.
When I am not at work my interests, apart from my family, include
craft, DIY and wine making. |

Penny
RGN
I trained and
qualified as a SRN at Guy's Hospital in London. Prior to
practice nursing, I worked as a ward sister in Care of the Elderly
at Stow Lodge, Twilight District Nursing in Ipswich and in the
theatres at Heath Rd. Hospital, Ipswich. I have been a
practice nurse for 12 years and joined The Guildhall Surgery in
1995. I have completed courses in diabetes, asthma, smoking
cessation, hypertension, coronary heart disease as well as the Marie
Curie Cervical Screening course.
Outside work my
interests include renovating our present home, sailing and skiing. |

Nina
RGN
I trained and
qualified as a SEN at Newmarket Hospital. My hospital
experience prior to joining The Guildhall Surgery in 2003 was at St.
Charles Hospital in London, the West Suffolk Hospital and the Bury
St. Edmunds Nuffield Hospital. Having attended the appropriate
courses, I am involved in providing travel vaccinations, children's
immunisations, cervical cytology, wound care, diabetes and coronary
heart disease monitoring, as well as general primary care nursing.
When I am not at
work, my interests include bringing up my family, swimming and
gardening. |

Sharon
RGN
I trained and
qualified as a RGN at the West Suffolk Hospital in 1985. I
worked at the West Suffolk Hospital in intensive care and coronary
care until 1992. I, then, became a practice nurse in Sudbury
before moving to The Guildhall Surgery in 1995. I have
completed courses in health promotion, diabetes, asthma, heart
disease, wound care, immunisation, smoking cessation and the Marie
Curie cervical cytology screening course. Through Suffolk
County Council I have also completed a course on autism and special
needs in children and adults. I am the link worker for Child
Protection at the surgery. In addition to my work at the
surgery, I do occupational health nursing.
When not at work
I enjoy horse riding, craft work and spending time with my family
and friends. |

Sue
RGN
I qualified as a
RGN in 1998 having completed the Dip HE Nursing programme at Suffolk
College, Ipswich, as a mature student. After a year at the
West Suffolk Hospital I moved to community nursing in Mildenhall
and, then, Bury St. Edmunds, attached to The Guildhall Surgery.
In 2004 I became one of the practice's nurses. I have attended
courses in wound care, palliative care, diabetes, asthma, HRT, aural
care & IV training. In addition, I have completed Teaching and
Assessing in Clinical Practice and Leg Ulcer Management courses at
Suffolk College as well as the Marie Curie Cervical Screening and
Intermediate Advisor in Smoking Cessation courses.
Outside work I
enjoy going to antiques and furniture auctions, listening to music,
reading, gardening, swimming and going to the gym. |

Michelle RGN
I qualified as a RGN at Colchester General Hospital in 1986 and,
then, worked at the Essex County Hospital and Colchester Hospital
before moving to Cornwall where I worked in a nursing home. I
returned to Suffolk in 1993 but left nursing in 1995 to bring up my
family. I, then, moved to work in retail before taking up a
post as Health Care Support Worker at The Guildhall Surgery
in 2005. During 2009 I underwent re-training at the West
Suffolk and Ipswich University and re-qualified as a RGN.
When I am not at
work my time is spent with my family, gardening and reading
historical novels. |

Jane
RGN
I
qualified as an SRN at Scarborough Hospital in 1968 and then spent
some time working in open heart surgery post-op intensive care in
Manchester and Leeds. After marrying I worked in the ophthalmic and
ENT departments at Bradford Royal Infirmary. Following this I
was a staff nurse in the surgical unit at The St Edmunds Nursing
Home and then a ward sister in the surgical unit at The St John's
Hospital, Aberdeen. I became a practice nurse in 1991 and have
worked in GP surgeries in Guildford, Thetford and Stanton before
starting at The
Guildhall Surgery in 2008.
When not at work my interests are my family, sewing and swimming. |

Denise RGN
I qualified as a
nurse at Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. My professional
career began in rehabilitation, intensive and coronary care, working
in these areas for three years. I left nursing for a short
break to have my children and have, now, been a practice nurse for
18 years. During this time I have developed extensive
knowledge of patient care requirements within a GP surgery. My
specialties include diabetes, family planning and child health.

Jacqui RGN
I
trained and qualified as a RGN at the West Suffolk Hospital and
completed the DipHE Nursing at Suffolk College in 1996. I
worked at the West Suffolk Hospital in acute medicine before moving
into community nursing. During my time in the community I
joined the Marie Curie nursing team and also gained an ENBN49 in
tissue viability. I joined Barrow Surgery as a practice nurse
in 2003. I have done many courses during my time here and have
gained qualifications in travel health, family planning and gained
an asthma diploma. I am involved in the main areas of practice
nurse duties (chronic disease management, cervical screening etc.)
and specialise in COPD, asthma, smoking cessation (Level 2 adviser),
wound care, leg ulcer management and Doppler assessments.
In my spare
time, I enjoy painting and drawing, reading, walking, cooking, films
and socialising. |
