The Guildhall and Barrow Surgery
 
GP Patient Survey results 2009/10
This survey was conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Department of Health.  A random selection of the practice patients received a postal questionnaire with eight key questions concerning:
- the ability to see a doctor on the same day or next two days the surgery was open
- the ability to get an appointment with a doctor more than two days in advance
- the frequency of seeing a preferred doctor
- the ease of getting through to the surgery on the phone
- satisfaction with the surgery opening hours
- satisfaction with overall care at the surgery
- the ease of getting an appointment to see a practice nurse
- having discussions with a doctor or nurse about how best to deal with a health problem
 
A comparison of the survey results for England and The Guildhall and Barrow Surgery show:

91%/97%/96% of patients found it easy or fairly easy to get an appointment with a practice nurse

84%/88%/82% of patients had had discussions about how to best deal with a health problem.

The overall response rate to the survey was:
England - 39%
